8/18/25 FY25 Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) Q&A Webinar

With the release of the NSGP NOFO (updated copy as of 8/6/25), Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) hosted a Q&A Webinar, giving interested nonprofits the ability to ask any questions about the NSGP application process.

FY25 Applications Open in Astra

With the release of both an updated NOFO (as of 8/6/25), and the NSGP Investment Justification (IJ) Form by FEMA, the Kansas Highway Patrol (Kansas SAA) has opened the application process on Astra

If you do not currently have an account on Astra, but would like to create an NSGP submission, you can register for an Astra account here. New user registrations are manually reviewed by an admin, so please allow up to 1-2 business days to hear from the system after submitting a registration request.

The SAA will be informed at a later date when the Kansas submissions will be due to FEMA. We anticipate that once we do receive timeline details from FEMA, it may be a very short turnaround time. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to prepare and submit at their earliest convenience.

  • FY25 Investment Justification (IJ) Form, i.e., the key application form
    • Form must be opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader - it cannot be opened in browser.
Download Acrobat Reader for free: https://get.adobe.com/reader/
    • After installing Acrobat Reader: Locate the IJ Form in your Downloads folder, right click on the file, click Open With and select Adobe Acrobat Reader.
    • The submitted Investment Justification must be in fillable PDF form. A scanned copy of the filled PDF will not be accepted.

For help preparing your submission, please review our submission instructions. For additional help with the application process, review the January Educational Training webinar, and other materials on our trainings page.
