In 2022, Riley County Health Department and their partners facilitated a process to develop a Community Health Improvement Plan, or CHIP. The CHIP process invited local residents and community organizations to use community health assessment data to identify priority issues, develop and implement strategies for action, and establish accountability to ensure measurable health improvement.

Multiple community meetings allowed participants to provide input.

Background: In 2015, community health improvement planning partners, including Riley County Health Department, Via Christi Health, Riley County Seniors' Service Center, Konza United Way, and First United Methodist Church, invited the community to help identify Riley County's top health priorities, that would receive targeted attention and resources for the next three to five years. The 2022 process continued this effort.

Let's make Riley County a healthier place for all!
