The
mandate of the group is to advise the Governor and the Kansas
Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) on issues involving
children, including obesity, newborn screening, immunizations,
and health education. The Governor's Child Health Advisory Committee
(CHAC) functions as a citizen-based advisory body, reviewing KDHE
and other state agency programming related to child health, and
approving or advising changes in new efforts within the focus
areas. |
